Staging Your Home To Sell

When you think of selling your home in this market it isn’t enough to price it right (don’t get me wrong here…that is one of the First things to get on point with), you must make sure it is in the best condition it can be, and you would do well to stage your home to sell as well.

The home you are selling  is …a stage, or a canvas for which you are creating a scene that will instantly tell your buyer what the room is for…and invites them in to experience it.  Once buyers are drawn in to the experience of the room, feel comfortable with it, they begin to imagine themselves in it and voila…you’ve sold the house!

Now, do you have to stage your whole house? Not necessarily.

In our experience, the most important rooms buyers consider are the kitchen, family room, master bedroom and master bath (main bath if there is not a master bath). Ok…guys love a good garage, but I think that is going a bit too far…how do you stage a power drill?

I know, I know, staging your home requires work, and maintenance to keep up for those all important showings, and it is a distraction to everyday life.  Yep, been there done that, but remember, you are moving, and the way you live in your house is not the way you sell your house, so if you are committed to selling your home…stage it!
